Objectives of the Conference

With increasing complex situations being modelled to find reasonable answers, role of computations and cognitive learning is becoming very important. The objective of the conference is to narrow down the gaps by bringing practitioners and scientists together; so as to focus on the recent trends in computational and cognitive engineering. The conference will further help:

  • To provide a forum for exchange of ideas and insights by mathematicians, engineers, scientists, and researchers
  • To share fresh perspective on problem-solving in current research areas
  • To present various computational and cognitive modelling approaches in the areas of health, education, finance, environment, engineering, commerce and industry
  • To promote networking opportunities among experts in various disciplines and encourage interdisciplinary research

About IIT

Institute of Information Technology started with a modest beginning in 1987 with the aim to provide help in research in the field of computer and computing related disciplines. Later in 2009, it started undergraduate program in Information technology where the aim is to provide IT specialist of the highest calibre who shall involve in research, design and development. IIT Jahangirnagar University provides its students with plentiful opportunities to get experienced in the working of the industry, national and international level IT competitions and also in real-life projects attached in the course curriculum. IIT is now offering different diverse programs including under-graduate, MS, Ph.D, Short Courses etc. Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. students reside on the campus and thereby get full opportunity to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. With most of the faculty members also residing in the campus, there is a unique, close and family–like relationship between students and teachers.

JU Beauty

The topography of the land, with its gentle rise and plains, is soothing to the eye. The bodies of water sprawling around the campus make an excellent habitat for the winter birds that flock there every year by the thousands, making bird-watching a favorite pastime for many visitors, students and staff. The beauty of this university campus attracts tourists.

Cultural Activities

Cultural activities at Jahangirnagar University are performed mostly at Muktomacha. There is an auditorium for rendering cultural activities. Many organizations such as Dhoni, JUDO, JAC, MONON perform cultural activities regularly. They also stage drama occasionally. Besides these, different cultural programs are celebrated occasionally like Bengali new year’s day, victory day, independence day, language movement day, etc. by the students of different departments or halls.

Fully Residential University

Jahangirnagar University with a dozen residential halls and a few more under construction is mandated to provide residential accommodation to each and every student with separate halls for the female students. Each hall has its own administrative system headed by a Provost and is equipped with facilities like playground, rooms for indoor games, the dining hall, etc
