JU Beauty

The topography of the land, with its gentle rise and plains, is soothing to the eye. The bodies of water sprawling around the campus make an excellent habitat for the winter birds that flock there every year by the thousands, making bird-watching a favorite pastime for many visitors, students and staff. The beauty of this university campus attracts tourists.

Cultural Activities

Cultural activities at Jahangirnagar University are performed mostly at Muktomacha. There is an auditorium for rendering cultural activities. Many organizations such as Dhoni, JUDO, JAC, MONON perform cultural activities regularly. They also stage drama occasionally. Besides these, different cultural programs are celebrated occasionally like Bengali new year’s day, victory day, independence day, language movement day, etc. by the students of different departments or halls.

Fully Residential University

Jahangirnagar University with a dozen residential halls and a few more under construction is mandated to provide residential accommodation to each and every student with separate halls for the female students. Each hall has its own administrative system headed by a Provost and is equipped with facilities like playground, rooms for indoor games, the dining hall, etc

CAMERA READY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Camera Ready Submissions & Publications

Notice**: For preparing the final manuscript in camera-ready submission, the maximum page limit set by the springer is 10.

All accepted papers will be published by Springer as a volume of the series of Springer Nature AISC.

Template:

Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use Springer AISC manuscript submission guidelines (available here) for the initial submissions. All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF and DOC/RTF format in the Springer AISC style.

Style files can be download here:

Although we accept submissions in the form of PDF, PS, and DOC/RTF files, you are strongly encouraged to generate a PDF version for your paper before submitting it. It is highly recommended to use LaTeX to prepare your PDF submission.

Camera-ready submission instruction:

Step 1: Please prepare your final manuscript according to the Springer templates. You must include all the comments suggested by the reviewers. Please see the REVIEWERS’ COMMENTS for your paper via ProConf Author’s portal, which MUST be addressed. NOTE: If the reviewer’s comments have not been addressed, your paper will NOT be included in the proceedings.

Step 2: Prepare author’s response to the reviewers’ comments in a separate file (.pdf)

Step 3: Make sure that you have made a zip file named as PaperID.zip. The zip file includes the following materials:

  • (a) a camera-ready manuscript in pdf format (PaperID.pdf);
  • (b) all source files (MSword user: PaperID.doc (with figures) and Latex user: PaperID.tex and other supporting files (figure, bib, cls, etc));
  • (c) author’s response to the reviewers’ comments in a separate PDF file
  • (d) proof of studentship (for student first authors only), and
  • (e) Payment Proof (Bank slip or Online Transaction Proof )
  • (f) Springer Permission Request form (Download)

Step 4: Please upload your zip file using your authors portal.

Copyright Submission:

Download and print Consent to Publish, CTP (or copyright) letter. Then sign on the CTP and upload scan copy. Please DO NOT type or print your name as sign on CTP. The sign should be hand-sign.

Springer Permission Request form Submission (Include in Zip Folder- Follow Step 3):

Make sure that ALL images/illustrations are from you and drawn by you [even if you want to redraw from another document, make sure that you give reference properly, and take the permission (if needed)]. if there is no content being used in the paper for which the permission is required you must fill NIL in the form, sign and upload in the zip folder.

Please read the following CAREFULLY. Here are the steps you MUST follow:

  • Write the author's name properly and sequentially, upon all of their formal approvals to submit the paper. Make sure that a name means just a name. DO NOT include Dr./Prof./Graduate Student/Mr./Ms. etc. in the names or affiliations. Affiliations mean the Dept./Address/Institutes. DO NOT include any designation. Add ALL authors' valid email addresses and mark the CORRESPONDING AUTHOR in the author list.
  • Abstract: Is it concise and accurate and within the word limits as mentioned in the template? Usually 150~200 words.
  • For more clarity and readability, please check the English of your paper by an expert or a native speaker.
  • Make sure that no part of this paper (including Figure/Table/Algorithm) is copied from other sources. Make sure that you did not do any plagiarism or self-plagiarism? The similarity shall be less than 20%(Overall) and < 4% from a single source.
  • Make sure that ALL images/illustrations are from you and drawn by you [even if you want to redraw from another document, make sure that you give reference properly, and take the permission (if needed)]. if there is no content being used in the paper for which the permission is required you must fill NIL in the form, sign and upload in the zip folder.
  • Make sure that there is no formatting problem, no typo/spelling Mistakes, no problems on proper punctuations, no mixed fonts, and make sure that all sections/subsections/Figure Numbers/Table Numbers/References, etc. are properly marked.
  • Acknowledgment, make sure that you do it properly but do not write too much (less than 3 sentences)[NOT Mandatory].
  • Make sure that all references are 100% cited within the paper. Try to put references from quality journals or conferences.
  • Paper length: Papers need to have up to 10 pages in Springer Nature AISC Format.
